William Kruse is a screenwriter, director and producer. William is on staff with IFP Minnesota as the Director of Funding Programs. He also teaches screenwriting and producing at Minneapolis College. William received his BA in film from the University of Notre Dame in 1994. In 1998 he graduated with an MFA from the School of Motion Picture, Television and Recording Arts at Florida State University. William's short films have screened for international festival audiences and for broadcast on IFC and A&E. He produced the feature documentary Dirty Country, which made its world premier at the 2007 SXSW Film Festival, winning the audience award for best music documentary. He is currently directing the short film "Big Boy" for which he received a Jerome Fellowship. William’s feature screenplays include: Dark Timber, a supernatural thriller, The Dells, a summer comedy,Doomsday at Brookhaven, a science-based drama and Two Harbors, a period drama.
